The Flyers have never had the typical cycle that most teams go through. The Flyers have always had really good teams that make it time and time again to playoffs and have very good and successful seasons. They have not in recent years have had a "rebuild year" that teams typically go through. This is their rebuild year. Next year will be a "grow/gel year" and by the following season after that, they should be back to the playoffs. |

My Mood: | | | Re: Hockey Fans ... Did you see that guy from the flyers get knocked out? Man it was like watching a Tyson fight (before the Ear incident). It went on for 90 seconds then BOOM...He's on his back <----that's a John Madden Sega sports quote if anyone rememebrs. |

On a side note, I think the flyers will be significantly better next season, they have a good bit of young talent. With good coaching and hard practice they should be set. I still hate them though...

My Mood: | | | Re: Hockey Fans ... "How 'bout them Rangas". I don't know about you but I think that puck was definitely in the net. But you know what, calls go for you and calls go against you. Should Sunday's game have gone to OT. No, but because, after official review, it was ruled that the puck was kicked into the net by the New York Rangers the goal was disallowed. All I've got to say is "bring on game 5" and of course "LET'S GO RANGERS!!!!!!" |

I watched that replay over and over again and I personally didnt see any CONCLUSIVE evidence---but yeah it looked like it was prob. a goal. Its just payback for the Rachunek goal they didnt count in game 3 ! I'm up in Buffalo now and all my friends up here are Sabres fans. I was taking alot of crap after we lost the first 2 games, well needless to say theyve all shut up now.
Im Calling: Rangers in 6, been calling it since they announced the series... |

My Mood: | | | Re: Hockey Fans ... I feel for you. Living in Wilmington a lot of the people in this town are Flyers fans and like to refer to them as the home team, drives me nuts. The only hockey team I refer to as the home team is the UD blue hen ice hockey team.
It drives me insane to see Flyers jerseys, window decals, license plate covers, etc, on a regular basis so when I come across a Ranger fan it's a real blessing.
I try to attend as many home games at the Garden as I can. There's nothing like a game at MSG.
As for the Buffalo series, I don't know, I'm thinking were going the full 7 games. I don't know if my finger nails can take much more of this though. Last night I completely destroyed my thumb nail. If it had gone into overtime, I'd probably be sporting a bandaid on my left thumb. |
