I don't like making predictions...but you have to think that with the Flyers "barely" making it to the playoffs this year, that the pressure won't be as intense. Therefore, they just might surprise the hell out of everyone. All those years with high expectations.... too much stress, pressure = choke. Not so much this year.

What do you think about this?

Yeah, going a few rounds is certainly doable if they show up in a consistant manner, play with heart, et al ...

I'm not predicting anything, and I don't expect that they'll contend in the Finals but you're right in that this was supposed to be the year spent remaking the team so, less expectation from the start. They did start well, dipped a bit, won a bunch and then were really inconsistant for long stretches with a win followed by a loss for a dozen or so games. Back then it was only 2 points you would hear but I'm of the opinion that you're playing for the post season all season long. Look at where they were going into the Break, 1st in the Division only to slide in Feb and March, fighting for a late spot in the Playoffs, could have been so much better, hell, given a win in just a handful of those losing streaks would have them winning the Division, that's how tight it is ...

It's an improvemnet over last year, obviously, but I think this team is coming together going into the Post Season. Let's see what happens ...

I miss CoreStates! I worked in marketing and we had 2 lux suites in both the 'rectum and the 'center. (The Vet too!) There was ALWAYS a need for someone to be in the box as a host, and to sign the bill at the end of the night. Quite a few nights it was just me and my buddies up there! Those were the days!

It does suck now that the corporate a$$-kissers have the majority of the lower level seats.
