| | | As some of you know Hope and I have been working on a children's book. We are having mixed feelings about the cover. Background: The cover of my book "Come to My Window" (look at my avator) was really meant to be the cover of the book "The Adventures of Little Caesar" In my mind, she is looking out the window dreamimg of inviting people into her adventures. The focus of her adventures are to "teach" children manners, respect and appreciation. We used "almost" the same cover for this book as "Come to My Window", my Coffee Table Book, More of the reflection and less of Caesar. We are starting to think this will take away from the other cover. Should we change the cover all together? Or use this same, but a bit different, mabe with some Holly added? Your valued opinions are greatly appreciated. Thank you Naomi & Hope By the way we just received our first printed proof copy from the publisher, we need kids to read it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let us know if your are interested........ | | |

That's a good point.

i think it would solve both the identity issue and the child friendly issue. a artist could easily embellish or "kid up" that original cover.... | | The Following User Says Thank You to Chase For This Useful Post: | | | |

| | | Yes, most children's books have covers to appeal to the child. I agree with Chase on this one.

| | | I also like Chase's idea.
But I am also of the opinion that the cover should be different than Come To My Window. Separate the two books.
If you want kids to read it, I got one that would love to read about cats!

| | | Na, I would have two different covers, as suggested above. I like Chase's idea too about illustration. Also I'd be interested in buying a copy for my kids and my daycare. I'm always looking for good book with a good message! Good luck! Let me know when I can purchase it!
