I guess that all depends on what sort of single female you're looking for. Trolley Square has a lot of younger people, and it has a diverse stretch of bars where you can probably find the kind of gal you're looking for.
The Newark area also has lots of singles, but it's a college town, so single could also equal jailbait if you're not careful.

I agree with Rosiebell.... go to Trolley Sq on a weekend because I read that Catherine Rooney's was voted the best place to meet single men (article was obviously written for girls). Plus, they have Smithwick's on tap.... yum  .
If you strike out at CR's you can stumble across the street to the Logan House, if you strike out there, step out side, turn right and fall into Scratch Magoo's.
A few other bars are in walking distance of Trolley Sq.
Good luck, I'll be there Friday night but I'm not single.  |

You can head down toward Elkton MD and go to Slackers and O'Kelly's... That's where I hang out!  ) The bestest places on earth... And once the weather get's warm it's the Chesapeake Inn in Chesapeake City, MD... I say, stretch your legs a little and get out of DE! lol
Of course if you don't like the bar scene, there is always MySpace...... lol

21-27 yrs old
Newark on Main Street places to be tonight Grottos, Kate's, Deer Park. (I'll be here tonight)
23-32 yrs old
Trolley Square, more for Friday and Saturday night. Logan house is slowing down go to Catherine Rooneys it's connected to CR hooligans so that's a plus.
21-40 yrs old
Starting in May Chesapeake Inn. Needs no explanation, prepare for fun.
Summer time
Dewey Beach Delaware and Seacrets in Ocean City Maryland.
I usually have luck at the grocery store
