Quick logic would point to Beau because most assume(d) that the AG spot was just a placeholder until dad was ready to roll on. Given the situation it could go to Carney but, does he want to be a seat warmer, that's what they're working out. Another angle, even though Beau is deployed he's set to be the son the Vice President, and chances are he'll be coming home because that's a little different than the son of a Senator. Best guess is it's still up in the air ...

MO- I agree about Beau. The AG job was about priming him to be future Senator Biden. I just don't think anyone assumed Biden would vacate his spot this early, so I think Beau would be a premature pick.

Carney would seem to be a frontrunner, but his own party didn't even nominate him to take Minner's position. Would they want him as their Senator? Do they have another option?
