Reports were leaking last night that Sen. Larry Craig was poised to step down as early as today, and it's official, he has resigned effective September 30th, 2007.
That leaves Idaho Governor CL "Butch" Otter with an appointment to make to fill the remainder of the term which is up in 2008.

So, Craig resigns today because he tried to find tubesteak in a airport restroom. Meanwhile, Rice is on the payroll, despite ignoring a congressional subpoena. Bush and Cheney continue a litany of lies and actions that amount to high crimes and misdemeanors. You can murder, perjure, evesdrop, torture and loot, but I guess you can't suck d*ck. (Unless it's Jeff Gannon's.)

As an aside, could the Idaho governor have a funnier name? Butch Otter?! It almost sounds like a joke. He might as well be named Harry Beaver! But even funnier than that is that the term "otter" is used in some gay circles. I'm telling you, you can't make this sh*t up!!
