Exclamation As expected Sen. Craig resigns

Reports were leaking last night that Sen. Larry Craig was poised to step down as early as today, and it's official, he has resigned effective September 30th, 2007.

That leaves Idaho Governor CL "Butch" Otter with an appointment to make to fill the remainder of the term which is up in 2008.

CNN Reports ...

This is an interesting re-enactment produced by Countdown, a liberal "news" program on (P)MSNBC with Keith Olberman. They used a little dramatic liberty to create the video based on the police interview transcripts ...

It's just under 6 minutes.

Re: As expected Sen. Craig resigns

That video was pretty funny....

So, Craig resigns today because he tried to find tubesteak in a airport restroom. Meanwhile, Rice is on the payroll, despite ignoring a congressional subpoena. Bush and Cheney continue a litany of lies and actions that amount to high crimes and misdemeanors. You can murder, perjure, evesdrop, torture and loot, but I guess you can't suck d*ck. (Unless it's Jeff Gannon's.)

Thousands of our soldiers dead in Iraq. Hundreds of thousands of dead civilians in Iraq. And Craig resigns? We are saved from bathroom stall terrorism!! God bless Washington, and the war on glory holes.

Some video coverage of the resignation, along with some other news pieces too including a short interview with Governor CL "Butch" Otter, Sen. McCain, Mitt Romney, some CNN pieces, none of which are terribly long.

Re: As expected Sen. Craig resigns

As an aside, could the Idaho governor have a funnier name? Butch Otter?! It almost sounds like a joke. He might as well be named Harry Beaver! But even funnier than that is that the term "otter" is used in some gay circles. I'm telling you, you can't make this sh*t up!! Comedy writers must be pissed off when the jokes practically write themselves. From Urban Dictionary:

1.otter
A gay man who is very hairy all over his body, but is smaller in frame and weighs considerably less than a bear.
"Larry is an otter, and he likes to date bears or other otters"

And if that's not enough, CL "Buch" Otter won a Mr. Tight Jeans contest a few years back ... google it.

Hey RS, this is an article written in 2005 while he was campaigning for Governor. Seems that 1992 was a bad year for Butch ...

Mr. Tight Jeans, Tuttie Fruitti Coffee, a DUI, a Divorce ... and he was the Lt. Governor too.

Kudos, MO, for bringing the mating rituals of the male homo sapiens to us for our further sociological education. My college thanks you for picking up the slack.
