NO, Bill Lee is not a drunk.....Markell is part of the Good Ole Boys Club. Nothing will be any different if he wins office than it is now except you'll be a little older.....

Maybe Lee is not drunk right now, (I said drinking problem, btw, not "drunk").

Funny, all I've heard up here is that Lee is a "good ole boy"... I guess this depends where you are located in this tiny state, huh?

Again, Lee is a long-time resident and as a judge made many friends (and I imagine a few enemies) over the years but he is not your typical good ol' boy. Visit his website and see if you agree with his key planks.

As for a "drinking problem"... I've been acquainted with his family for about 4 years now and can tell you he is an upstanding and caring human being and I have NEVER seen evidence of a drinking problem. During the primary an opponent located some photos of Mr. Lee at the Rusty Rudder. In these photos, Lee is holding an unmarked plastic cup. In one of the photos, Lee 'looks' drunk. I asked him about these when they were brought to my attention. He says the cup in the photos was filled with water, but that he had enjoyed a few drinks that night and he wasn't drunk. He told me he doesn't need alcohol to have a good time but occasionally imbibes. (I am also guilty of this horrendous sin). And I would like to point out, have you never had your photo taken where you look stoned or drunk? I have dozens! I have pics of my kids where they look completely shatfaced! A photo does not tell a story and is very subjective.

However, starting a rumor in a hot political climate, that's PRICELESS.

Lee is well-qualified to solve our state's financial problems and has been mischaracterized by many as a good ol boy.

Markell DOES plan to increase the state budget, does NOT hold my interests as a small business person in mind and HAS been unethical concerning Nextel. I'm more concerned about things like that than a guy who enjoys a few social drinks!

Me either. I think the Presidential Race is really over shadowing the race here.

I think since the State is pretty much going to Obama on the 4th people should really start finding out about whats going on here at home.

There is an open forum next wednesday if anyone wants to attend. You have a chance to meet the candidates. More info is below.

Gubernatorial Candidates Forum October 29th On Wednesday, October 29, a gubernatorial candidates forum will be held at Cokesbury Village Auditorium, 726 Loveville Road, Hockessin. The event will begin at 6:30 PM with an opportunity to meet informally with the candidates followed by a town hall forum beginning at 7:00 PM All candidates running for the office of governor whose names will appear on the November 4 General Election ballot have been invited to address the audience and take questions from the floor. The event is hosted by Delaware League of Women Voters Education Fund, League of Women Voters of Delaware, League of Women Voters of New Castle County, Delaware Center for Justice and Cokesbury Village.

Why wait for a potential Markell Administration. You can start sending in more taxes right now if that's what you favor, the State isn't going to stop you ...

Of course Jack Markell made his intent to raise taxes public in debate with Bill Lee. 'no-one can say they won't raise taxes"
