Government & PoliticsDiscuss Daily Show in the Delaware Talk forums; Figured I might start a thread for Daily Show clips.. I have a feeling John Stewart is going to have a ball this election season.
This one had me rolling:...
I don't like how he changed his stance on abortion. The fact that he used to stand up to his party and support a woman's right to chose actually made me like him a few years ago....can't get with him now that he's gone along with the party lines.

Well, by moving closer to his party lines, I suppose he feels it's
more important to get the votes of the far right rather than
independents. Maybe he thinks he has more to lose by the far
right voters not showing up to vote so he has to appeal to them?
Because if his strategy is to get the independents, his rhetoric
is a little confusing. (IN MY OPINION).
(end hijack)
This is the Daily Show thread. We can debate politics in the dozens of

My point was him changing his stance on the issues. Obama does it all the time and he's considered progressive by the dems.
Ok back on topic. So how about that Daily Show?
I agree with your second post bing. Then again, what politician doesn't sell out to get votes? They're all walking the fence and they all make me sick.

Caught this on the Daily Show. They did a bit on the Mumbai tragedy.
When it started, I cringed, because I thought you really shouldn't
do comedy about this tragedy... But it turned out to be about bashing
the terrorists...and I thought it was pretty funny. I couldn't find it on
youTube,.. but if you want to view it, here is the link at Hulu.com It's
only 3 minutes or so.
