My Mood: | | | Re: Biden's Fantasy World How so? I know he can be contradicting. I do think his Foreign policy is strong, but i don't think he could assist Obama with the other areas he is weak with.. | | The Following User Says Thank You to Roogle For This Useful Post:

My Mood: | | | Re: Biden's Fantasy World Biden's foreign policy experience can be questioned...Biden Misleads That Al Qaeda Forced His Helicopter Down in Afghanistan ...
It's not in the country of Iraq." Wow. Forced down was it? ... So here's Biden making a joke of our combat forces just so he can say he faced danger? ... newsbusters.org/blogs/warner-todd-huston/2008/09/22/...“He’s a celebrated foreign policy expert, but he has been wrong … dating back to the Reagan administration,” Another example noted by the campaign was voting for defense cuts during the Reagan administration, and voting against the first Gulf war in 1991..“He voted for the Iraq war, and Obama said that was poor judgment,”...Biden chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Why does Biden chair that committee? Because of seniority. He entered the Senate when Richard Nixon was president and Biden is now serving his sixth term..Biden's subsequent ideas about Iraq raise still more questions. When the war turned sour, his main proposal was to partition the country into Sunni, Shiite and Kurdish regions. That idea met a firestorm of opposition in Iraq because it would leave the fragmented regions vulnerable to their bigger, stronger neighbors, Iran and Turkey. The Sunnis opposed it because only a strong central government could give them oil revenues from other regions. Iraqi cities with mixed populations, such as Mosul and Kirkuk, feared partition because it would spark bloody ethnic battles for control.
While Biden was busy supporting partition, he was opposing the plan by Gen. David Petraeus to use a new strategy to win the war and hold the country together. Petraeus wanted to deploy more troops to Baghdad to clear, secure and hold neighborhoods. Biden's response, in June 2007, was strong and unequivocal: "The surge isn't going to work either tactically or strategically." John McCain risked his political career to take the opposite view. his sometimes embarrassing attempts to discredit Obama during the primaries - memorably describing him as the first "clean" black candidate - are sure to resonate with voters in a way that reflects badly on both halves of the Democratic ticket. |

My Mood: | | | Re: Biden's Fantasy World This has gotten ridiculous. Either you are for Obama/Biden or you're for McCain/Palin. Nothing is going to change your mind either way, so why are we argueing about it? Both sides are getting more & more childish about it, "Hussein Obama is anti-american socialist muslim antichrist" or "McCain is a senile Bushbot w/ a folksy peabrain for a running mate" None of it is true, but the anonymous so-called "adults" on the web & in the media can't get enough of this crap. I'm done with it. I'll vote on Nov. 4 and I strongly suspect that Obama/Biden will come out on top, regardless of how much hysterical scaremongering you will hear till election day. | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to tarkus1 For This Useful Post:
