Do you know Candy Corn?

I read this in the US Airways Mag that was in the seat pocket. It was an interesting little article. I did not know all this history about Candy Corn. I did not know that it was a Philadelphia invention.

This enduring trick-or-treat staple is hardly stale.
Candy corn has been a favorite Halloween treat for more than 100 years. Perfectly fitting for the fall, the tricolor design was considered revolutionary when the confection was first introduced in the 1880s by the Wunderlee Candy Company
of Philadelphia.
In 1900, the Goelitz Candy Company (now Jelly Belly) picked up on the recipe and has continued to produce it for today’s candy lover.

The main ingredients — sugar and corn syrup — haven’t changed, but manufacturing methods certainly have.
Candy corn was originally made by hand, and it was only available from March through November. Now machinery does all the work. And the confection is made year-round. It even comes in seasonal colors for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and Easter.
