Look what you gained (besides the obvious friends and family).

Cheese steaks, Herr's chips, Old Bay, and scrapple!!!

Of course you did leave behind some good authentic Mexican food...

I'll do without the scrapple & cheese steaks - I really think you have to be from her to like those. I've tried them both once & that was enough for me.

I sooooo miss the mexican food in Cali. The hole in the wall places were teh best. Nothing like a fat greasy burrito at 2am

Re: Are you a Native of Delaware?

I'm a PA girl - born and raised in the coal regions, which basically means I was weaned on Yuengling Lager and believe that football is life.

Went to Penn State (main campus), partied too much, left when the money ran out. I got a job in Kennett Square and transferred out to PSU Delco as a returning adult student. Bounced between Kennett Square and Conshohocken a bit. DH and I decided that buying a house in Delaware would be better because of the property taxes and homeschooling laws.

So now, we live near Prices Corner and are very happy with our decision. We've been here since 2004 and have no plans to leave anytime soon.

Edited to add: I'm part PA Dutch and there's NO WAY I'm ever eating scrapple again. I know too much.

Re: Are you a Native of Delaware?

Born and raised in Long Island and Queens, NY. My parents are from PA so I spent a lot of time there. Also spent time in NYC and Brooklyn. Moved to NJ for a job transfer in '80. Lived there until 2006 when I moved to DE. Nobody could ever figure out my accent until I moved here. I get pegged me for a New Yorker every time!!
