| | Jake’s Hamburgers in Delaware announced today that they will be holding a fundraising event on behalf of the family of Delaware City Firefighter Michelle Smith, killed in the line of duty.
The event will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at all Jake’s Hamburger locations in Delaware. Jake’s will donate 20% of all sales that day to the trust fund that has been established for the benefit of Michelle’s daughter,
“The Emily A. Burge Trust Fund,” c/o the Delaware City Fire Company 815 5th St

In addition, Firefighters will be on hand at each location throughout the day to accept donations on behalf of Michelle’s family.
