| | I remember when I had a Packard Bell 486 25mgh
One of the first games I installed was Dune. It took 10 or 11 disks and about an hour to install. There was no real sound other than the beeping sound out of the mono speaker built into the pc.
It was a good game if you liked to read!
Then when I installed an adlib sound card in the PC it was even more fun because the game came to life with sound (No voice).
I still have some old games where you had to install 20 disks! | Re: Remembering OLD PC Games

You supplied the TV!
I use to love to play 2001 Space Odyssey on it. It ran on the high speed tape drive. I have been trying to find it to play on my PC but it seems to be one of those games that did not get updated
Chase! Funny you mention Duke Nukem, that was the first game I baught at a computer show and didn't know what I was buying! LOL
I remember when I got Catacombs of the Abyss and that game scared me! (Simillar to doom). | Re: Remembering OLD PC Games

| | | I distinctly remember the Summer and Winter Olympic Games that I would play against my brothers. Was it on the Commodore 64???? could that be right? I loved those games.

You know you can still play some old commodore 64 games on your PC? At one point I saw a website that had them and an engine that would let you play them once the engine was installed on your PC.
I will see what I can find on that when I get home from work.

| | | Back in college, we had a Commodore Amiga, which was like top of the line back then. We loaded up and played The Bard's Tale for friggin' WEEKS on end. I missed so many classes because of that game. | Re: Remembering OLD PC Games

| | If you want to talk about addicting games. I would finish one time, and go all over again. I was determined that no one would die the next time around. But, you know, someone always died no matter how good you were..
