| | I'm hoping the powers that be will let me post this bit of shameless self promotion, since Chase was beyond instrumental in helping design, host, and troubleshoot our site!
My husband (Grimace302) and I recently launched a blog. We're both freelance writers, so it's an opportunity to practice our skills a bit and have some fun. It's called We Took The Bait, and it's a site chock full of humorous reviews of infomercial products. Well, okay, we have three so far. But it'll be chock full one day!
We Took The Bait came about one lazy summer night in a fit of boredom mistaken for brilliance. After suffering through numerous late night infomercials and consuming copious amounts of cheap domestic beer, we (Jeremy & Jessica) decided that we owed it to the world to buy and review all the television order products that seem too good to be true.
Yes, we realize that many of those late night commercials are designed for suckers, and we’re volunteering to take the bait so that you fine people don’t have to.
If it chops, mops, slices, dices, or can solve a home repair crisis, we’re going to buy it, try it, and then private eye it. Bet you didn’t know we were such talented freestylers too, eh?
Just a disclaimer- we are in no way affiliated with any of the companies that manufacture, produce, distribute, or market the products that we review, so you don’t have to worry about us being biased in any way. Although our reviews are intended to be humorous and are often delivered tongue-in-cheek, we don’t assume we’re going to hate the products we order. In fact, we’re both suckers for the glowing drone of the late night commercial, which is why we’ve decided to take those as-seen-on-TV goodies for a test drive.
We rate the products we review in three areas: quality, delivery, and overall experience. The more hooks a product receives, the higher we recommend it. We’d never tell anyone not to buy a product that we review, even if we think it’s about as useful as a round fork. On the contrary, we provide links to the product page and encourage all our readers to make up their own minds about the junk, I mean items, that we try out.
Please visit us at We Took The Bait
If you like what you've read, please leave us a comment. We don't have any yet, and I'm starting to feel some kind of way.

| | | Well done, I usually ignore anything that is advertised on TV infomercials, but you site is pretty good and an interesting read.

| | I've been enjoying your blog so much, Jess! Nice work! I especially like the picture of the Cheeseburger.
Can't wait to see what the next product reviews will be!

PG- none yet. Well, one. But it was me, testing to make sure it worked.
KL- YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!
RM- That's a typical Jeremy idea, but it's growing on me. I think he originally wanted a boy eating an apricot, but I guess he couldn't find one.
Witchy- You rock! We need word of mouth to make it work. I wanted to put a link to the Celtic Dog, didn't know if you wanted to be affiliated with us | | The Following User Says Thank You to Jessica For This Useful Post:

I think the plan is for me to update on Tuesday nights (well, very early Wednesday mornings), and Jess to update on Saturdays.

| | | Forget about PediPaws. It's a joke and a scam. The spinning thing gets to hot after just a few seconds for small animals, and just try to get a big animal used to it. They're suggestions. "LEave it someplace so he can see it" then "Turn it on and leave it down on the floor where he can get used to the sound." then "move it closer" etc etc, there's like 100 things you have to do , or at least each thing you have to do 100 times, and most of the time, you still can't get them near it. I'm talking from experience here, from my own dog and a few others with dogs and small animals.
I gotta get Jakes nails done soon though, he's got talons now. Took him to a groomer and he was terrified. Tried it twice, neither time worked. No idea what to do.

We love it with the 5 big dogs I did! I did everything exactly as it said. Maybe you have some tips for me? Noise scares him, thunder, crickets, vacuums, loud fans, etc. These things arent extremely noisy but still close up, it's enough. Ear plugs maybe? lol

Leave it his area (room cage etc) for few days then turn it on till he get used to the noise. Then touch his nail with out it turned on till he doesnt jump then turn it on and go slow to his foot if he pulls back stop just keep doing that and he will get used to it. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
