I'm feeling like i'm hogging this thread right now, but whatever....you guys love me, so you'll indulge me.
In light of the fact that we're on the eve of 9/11 and i'm feeling extra patriotic and proud of my military, I wanted to share some pictures from a recent trip to one of my favorite places on the planet, Patriot's Point Naval & Maritime Museum in BEAUTIFUL Charleston, SC. I've been to this place at least a half dozen times and I never get tired of it. This most recent trip was perhaps the hottest, most humid day ever and in several of the pictures i'm sweating like gerbil in a gay bar (sorry, i heard that over the weekend and couldn't resist)!
All kidding aside, places like Patriot's Point bring home the fact that our freedom isn't "free" and that so many people have died and are dying to protect it. We should not forget there sacrifices or let their sacrifices be for naught. It also reminds me that our military is by far the best in the world and we should always, ALWAYS be proud of them and what they do. Their unwavering self-sacrifice is truly inspiring.
The USS Yorktown. So awesome. Please note the gigantic sweat stains on my back. Sexy, right?
Inside the Yorktown. It was probably 110 degrees in there!
