I totally stole that Title from an article about the Hersey company and how they are starting to use cheaper ingredients. A lot of people have been complaining that the taste is just not the same.

Products such as Whatchamacallit, Milk Duds, Mr. Goodbar and Krackel no longer have milk chocolate coatings, and Hershey’s Kissables are now labeled “chocolate candy” instead of “milk chocolate.” They have replaced the coco butter with vegetable oil but kept the price the same!

Has anyone noticed it? I personally only like a couple Hersey's products, they have never been my fav chocolate so I rarely buy them.

I only buy candy every once in a great while, so I haven't noticed anything different, but I'm not surprised. Everything is so damn expensive nowadays and people are trying to save a buck anywhere they possibly can.

That stinks. I'd rather they get rid of a few of the products that don't sell too well, and keep the quality. Hershey's kisses are one of those little treats I seek when I'm down in the dumps. Just a few....a little pick me up. (Or the whole one pound bag when necessary). Don't start tasting like Nestle or *gasp!* those horrid Palmer chocolates, or I'll have to move to Europe.

I used to buy pure cocoa butter in Panama; it came in a little tin and was labeled for skincare, but the stuff had no additives or preservatives, and smelled delicious. Maybe I should have someone down there mail me a few tins and I'll make my own chocolate bars with Hershey's cocoa powder....

Palmer chocolates............. *shudders*

I can get Godivas on the cheap, if I wanted them.. My grandfather worked for Cambell's Soup until he retired and they own Godiva (or did).. He get's that stuff by the pound real cheap..
