Ace- what would it take for the media to start paying attention to the people that are actually looking out for the interests of blacks instead of turning to JJ and Rev. Al everytime an issue comes up in America? Or, will the media never be interested in them because they're not flamboyant and publicity hungry as the other two?

That wasn't my statement, it was a quote from Ace that didn't get quoted correctly in my post. I have no clue who he is.

I'm going to respectfully and vehemently disagree with the suggestion of Creflo Dollar as a "next generation" leader. He's nothing more than a charlatan who only preaches about monetary gain. He's in the same category as JJ and AS - preachers who are more in it for self than for others. Creflo Dollar drives a Rolls Royce and travels in a $5 million Gulfstream II for crying out loud! As for Eddie Long and TD Jakes, those guys are OK, but these TV evangelists give me pause. TD Jakes, along with his 35,000 plus congregation has a record label, movie production company, etc. I understand that there are lots of ways to "spread the word" but give me a break. The other thing is that these guys are from the same generation as JJ & AS. What we need is some new faces, new ideas, new blood.

I think there's a lot of potential there in Barack Obama to shake things up & reinvigorate black people....Lord knows, they need something (or someone).
