Yes ladies. For many years I was "the pool man..." (queue porno music...) lol
When it got REALLY hot I would occasionally "drop" a tool in the pool and have to go get it... darn....
And I would chat up the female lifeguards at the pool clubs and apartments, as well as lonely housewives (apparently they fell into "the pool man" fantasy also, but that's another story and only safe in the Edge). But it wasn't all fun. Working at the bottom of an empty pool hammering our concrete and plaster is NOT my idea of relaxing...
I was no stud, but lifting chemicals in 50lb. bags all day sure kept me trim.
Now I sit in an office and complain about the heat when I step out for a smoke. Some days I miss the outside work, but not today...
and how could we forget quite possibly the best commerical ever.
Damn that WAS a good commercial...
I think they should put it back on the air lol

My husband works in construction and most of the guys don't look like that!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to show that to him when he gets home and tell him to get down to the basement and start working out! Damn! I need a diet coke and a cigarette!

I used to work construction during the summer when I was back in high school. And the heat really isn't all that bad, you get used to it after the first week or so. As long as you keep youself hydrated then its no problem at all
I can tell you this weather would make the devil sweat
I have been out side residing the house (another thread) for the last two days I am beat
I am drinking Cranberry Juice only thing that is keeping me going

Senator Obama what is your experience ?
I have been in the Senate for a total of 1347 days of which 600 of them have been running for President of the United States I have introduced 121 pieces of Legislation of which 116 never made it out of committee's and 2 passed. I have released 6 books and one cd in that time.
Oh that is not good enough? I was also a community organizer I am good at pushing buttons
You do get used to the heat. I started moving my mother into her our apartment today in the heat, Chase helped too- thanks buddy! I hit the shower then into work- the AC in my car has been out this is the 3rd summer. I worked in Arizona a few years ago from May to December and only used the car AC twice -except when company came out. As my daddy used to say "you can always find shade easier than fire" translation: it's better working outside in summer than winter
I work outside during the day, here and there, then in the Air Conditioned truck between stops, it varies on the amount of time I'm out depending on what I'm doing but, I drink plenty of coffee and also wear a sweatshirt and long pants all year long ...
