I was complaining how Delaware did not have a site, strictly for Delaware. So I was going to build one, wow — I could corner the market. Anyway, I really had to search for a while, but then I found Delaware on the web. On the DOW site there is a miscellaneous catagory, and Delaware Forums was on that list. I clicked it and walla I found talkdelaware. I was so happy.

I don't find DF when I google, are you entered in the search engines.
I am disappointed in Delaware's non-web presence. We are building a poor
web infastructure in Delaware and I would so like to see it be greater and
more organized. Its like the wild, wild west.

im rather confused, talk delaware ranks well for quite a few search terms and is on top for the term "delaware forum"

DOW is kinda a partner of ours. the link button on the top navbar goes to them. we have the link on their homepage for delaware forum and i wrote the advice from the experts HERE and we are listed in a few categories.

There are other sites besides TD? On the internet's? can I load them down?

I just think like the 1 site or rather a portal for Delaware should be santioned by like the chamber of commerce and the state. It's is not about a monopoly, but rather it is an entry way to access everything exclusive to Delaware. And there should be a big blitz about it, so it's out there. This portal should be the top listing when the word Delaware is plugged in. And no advertising. I been thinking about this for a long time.

It has more to do with economy and for example the enviornment rather than competion. Competition and advertising would occur within this portal, but not by the portal itself. Does this make any sense.

Not sure really, the state of DE's website was rated as in the top 5, maybe even number 1 in a major survey last year conducted amongst all official state websites. I personally think DE, in general, has a incredible web presence. I am only speaking on official web sites sanctioned by states. Google results will appear skewed because if you were to search "New York" it will pull every instance of "New York" on every website they index, which would probably far outweigh a similar search for "Delaware".

If there was a way to gauge the official, state sanctioned, web site real estate online for each state and compile that data, I think DE would be toward the top of the heap.

For sure the State's site is great. It's not about that. This is not any type of crit. Like I said its more about economy of usage. For example, if you plug in say Delaware grocery stores, so much junk comes up. And there are so many sites that claim the
term "local". Actually I am kind of glad this isn't making sense because maybe I should
take a go of my concept.
