I made my own fireworks....

cantaloupe, strawberries, peaches, blueberries, from three days agothat I cut up in a bowl....I sprinkled a little granola on the top of it.....The fruit is just ripe enough and has bled enough to make a syrupy mix in the bottom of the bowl...OMG!!!! TOO GOOD!!!!!!!!

but I still miss her....

Spent my evening at the grocery store. Husband is already in bed (it's his long weekend of daywork)...just about to start the Phillies game on my DVR.

Checked the mail twice before my neighbor reminded me that today is a bank holiday.

I could here the Longwood fireworks from my house... they sounded awesome as usual.

Anyone actually get out to see some?

We sat in our front yard as usual and watched the ones at the Bob Carpenter center. Not the same with the kids gone. They are at the beach with their father. Hope everyone else had a good evening despite the rain.

I had to get up at 4:20 Am this morning to start work at 5. Some jackass up the street must have gotten himself a large quantity of firecrackers that came in packs of three. Every 15-20 seconds until about 11:30 pm there were three loud bangs in succession. I found myself anticipating the next volley, which came very regularly for over two hours. Once there was about a minute gap and I sat up in bed wondering what had happened to the guy. I wonder if he saved some for tonight?

wooo, happy late 4th, man yesterday was pretty crazy... Ang's parents offered to keep the kids so we went up to media PA and hung out there and the kids stayed, we went to our friends house in hockessin and they were making authentic italian pizza in the brick oven so i pigged out (too much) they had lots of beer, we got like 3 gallons of ritas water ice and some kind of super strong Italian orange liquor. we played volleyball, drunk, and then we had a drunken obstical course that consisted of spinning around a bat, jump roping through cones, chugging beer, and potato sack through hoola hoops in a relay style race. my team lost but it was fun. then ang drove back up to get the kids and we got home and i crashed, then i woke up around 2am worshiped the porcelain god and went back to sleep. feel much better now
