Food Marketing

A couple of years ago, Keebler came out with their Bistro line of crackers. One of them was the Cornbread Cracker.

They go awesome with chili.

First time I tried one, I thought...."What the hell took you so long?"

I mean...are you telling me nobody had an idea to mass market a cornbread cracker till the 21st century?

Along those lines...

Why can't you buy a dozen store bought donuts without getting plain donuts?

You gotta buy 4 powder/4 cinnamon/4 plain...or 4 powder/4 chocalte frosted/ 4 plain.

Why can't you get 4 powder/ 4 cinnamon/ 4 chocolate frosted in the same pack?

Who the hell really wants the plain donuts? (I know...I'll eat 'em... because they're there...but few if any go in looking to score the plain donuts).

I'm just talking about Hostess and Tastykake. I know you can buy variety packs in Entenmann's and such. I'm talking about the donuts you normally find handy in the drug store or convenience store.

I believe I have enough posts of greater import to warrant this one

Re: Food Marketing

This is sooooo true. I have thrown away so many of those nasty plain donuts because no one in my house wants to eat them after they have eaten the powdered and cinnamin donuts! And what is up with KFC and the gravy thing? Is it really necessary to give you a TUB of gravy with your order? Who really eats that much gravy? I'm a big girl, but damn, your heart can only take so much!

Re: Food Marketing

It's like the hot dog and the hot dog bun controversy
You get 10 hot dogs in a package
you get 8 buns in a package
can't these people get together on this?

Re: Food Marketing

I put powdered sugar in a bag, and 'shake' the plain doughnuts in it, viola, powdered sugar doughnuts. Been doing that for years.

Does anyone else agree that Pringles puts the seasoning on the wrong side of the potato chip?

Re: Food Marketing

And I <3 plain donuts.

That's all I ever order at Dunkin' Donuts, and those are the first I go for in the packs. I hate cinnamon. HATE them. I'm not fond of the powdered sugar ones either.
