| | Yesterday I was able to walk through the new Stolzfus section recently added to Farmers Market and LOVED it! They now have an extensive candy shop that even has fresh fudge. A pretzel making stand that is similar to the pretzel stand at Cow Town. They also have a produce section that is similar to the one you would find at Booth Corner in PA. The baked goods section was large and filled with many selections and their meats counter is much longer than it was in their old location.
They also have a sandwich shop and across from that shop is the BBQ shop that is similar to the BBQ shop in Cow Town, so if you want smoked/BBQ wings, you can go here and save yourself the bridge toll.
The sausage stand has moved also. They are at the front of the new section and folks still form a line to get them.
The pictures were taken when the market was near closing. This is the Sausage & Ice Cream stand
This is the Pretzel Stand
This is a limited view of the produce stand
This is their meats section (They were clearing out the case to close the shop)
This is the BBQ place. They do Chicken, Ribs and other meats. | Re: Farmers Market new section (some pics)

| | | If you go there just before they close on a Saturday, they will package their foods and sell them at a cut rate price! I don't think this section is open on Sundays since the Stultzfus don't work the Sabbath. | | The Following User Says Thank You to paulusa302 For This Useful Post: | | Re: Farmers Market new section (some pics)

I was also wondering. That NCC Farmer's Market has been there since I was a kid, and that was a longggggg time ago when I lived in Minquadale in the 40's. Actually, the NCC Farmers Market looks almost identical to Spence's Bazaar in Dover, which is open Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, with auctions in the evening. Amish have a large deli at Spence's, also, in the brick building. But you Kent/Sussex people know that! Spence's has also been there over 50 years. When our kids were little, I rented a table there every week for $5/day, and got rid of lots of stuff. | Re: Farmers Market new section (some pics)

| | | The produce section is kinda high compared to the Asian run produce stands. If they want to make a go of it they will have to lower their prices or make a claim of their produce being better in some way. | Re: Farmers Market new section (some pics)

| | | We were just there over the weekend. Looked nice. Definitely agree with the produce thing. I can say that there produce did look better just not sure if it was worth the higher price. We ended up leaving with no produce. Will also say that I am so glad that we didn't have any cash on us. Because, I would of spent a fortune there. Amish baked goods, candy, and the pretzels were mighty yummy. (free taste) Went up leaving with no produce for us, but picked up 2 pounds of hot sausage for the mother-in-law. We always get the Black Angus steaks from them in the summer to fire up on the grill. Mighty Yummy I must say.
