The faltering economy has swollen the ranks of needy children in Monroe County faster than in any other county in Pennsylvania.
Since 2001, the percentage of local students who are at or near poverty soared 76 percent — more than five times the rate in the state overall, according to a Pocono Record analysis of Pennsylvania Department of Education data on school food programs.

I say do away with all welfare and government hand outs that our taxpayers financially supported.

Here's a solution to all the controversy over full-body scanners, searches, pat downs, etc. Have an appropriate booth that you can step into that will not X-ray you, but WILL detonate any explosive device you may have on you.
