Camel Crush - New Cigarettes, interesting

I needed gas when i just went for lunch, i stopped at the BP on the corner of Univ. Plaza, I see the owner there all the time, we kinda know each other or whatever, his gas i high (3.99 today) so i only get $10 worth. His cig/camel rep is in the store stocking him up.

I am a smoker, i smoke camel menthol lights, well he hand me a pack of a new camel cig coming out to try, free, they are "Camel Crush" cigs...

It is pretty interesting and something i have never seen before.

First, the pack, it is all black with blue logos, and on the back it says "squeeze the filter, hear the click, change the taste" the corners on the pack are rounded, not square like a normal pack.

So the rep tells me "yeah, it smokes like a camel lights, but if you squeeze the filter and hear the click, it tastes like a menthol"

well i would be lying if i said i was not apprehensive about this, i havent had one yet, when i finish this pack i have today ill open the crushes and see what they are like....

pretty strange though, i see it as a gimmick myself, non-menthol smokers HATE menthols, and i don't dig non-menthols, but we'll see.....other thing is, what "breaks"? what "substance" is inside this thing to change the flavor?

Like you said there is no switching it's either menthol or non-menthol. I don't see this working out.

Whoa, space age cigarette technology. I am 100% positive that my husband will try these, because he seems to get hooked into every bizarre cigarette that comes on the market, and they're usually from Camel. They've had some weird flavors - one that had an orange essence and another that tasted like spearmint. Blech.

He is one of those rare people that will sometimes get a craving for a menthol from time to time.

Sometimes those other brand of Camel flavors are good, like a treat (i know that sounds sick to non smokers)

i have been smoking Capri menthols since they came out. I will go without rather than smoke something else. I just wish they would send coupons once in a while. They are up to $50.00 a carton

I'll buy the "wierd" packs when they don't have regular Camel Light Menthols.. I just can't do regular menthols.. A bit too harsh.. And now that I smoke the menthols, I can't do the regulars or regular lights..

There's one type they have out that isn't bad..For a temporary replacement that is.. I think it's a "Signature Blend".. Not sure of what it's actually called, but it's a menthol type..

Go onto their website and see if they have a mailing list.. I did this with Camel.. I get coupons almost every week..
