Budweiser Shows Respect

Someone sent me this ad and, having been in Manhattan last weekend and having seen some of the tributes that were around the city in honor of the anniversary of the events of September 11, 2001, I thought I would share this with all of you.

I remember when this advertisement aired (and it aired only once). I still think it was beautifully done.

But I've always been a sucker for the Clydesdales.

Sorry I'm a week late on getting this posted.

Re: Budweiser Shows Respect

I agree, it was elegant. I posted that on my myspace and I'm pretty sure I posted in the 9/11 thread here.

After a few seconds, I thought, "Gods, imagine trying to get all those horses to bow at once."

I actually wasn't really involved in the September 11 thread here... So if this is a duplicate, I apologize!

I might not have, I don't recall.. I may have just seriously considered it and now think that I actually did.

I happen to think a duplicate of this isn't a bad thing.

Re: Budweiser Shows Respect

And, for the record, this in no way means I drink Budweiser products... But I do think this ad was just... I don't know. All I know is that my friends who live in New York City watch it and weep.

Re: Budweiser Shows Respect

Very well done by the ad folks at A/B.

September 11, 2001 still upsets me. I can't watch any of the movies.."United 93...World Trade Center", none of it.

Re: Budweiser Shows Respect

I don't drink Budweiser either, in fact I hate beer.

There's something very touching in a team of horses that symbolize majesty and royalty ("King of Beers", get it?) bowing in unison.

Neither can I, Kid. But I have a friend who lives on the lower West Side and was there the day of the attacks and watches everything she can on the subject... She told me the other night that she finds it therapeutic.

To each his/her own, I guess...
