Good Morning my lovely fellow Nature-loving pal, Happy to see you over here too!I have a new poem that I hope you will enjoy.

Harvest Reverie
On a frosted-pumpkin morning
Between autumn's reds and golds
There is a pair of wary animal eyes
peering out from the border shrubbery
A feral mother cat
and her kittens
stray across the suburban lawn
Amid the slanting blink
of wintry light and shadow
I wake to play in daydream
I've come into animal presence
Mother cat and kitten kin
like Montaigne and his kitten
are never fooled by human ambition
superfluous business cats shun
of stress and strive
rave and slave,drudge and drive,
the endless chase to and fro
to capital gain or pain;
Cats opt for a purring joy
and a careless skip
around the quiet house
tumbling in open sock drawers
Piddle Poo!ramble and run
into feline fun
and Nature's eternity.
