born and raised in fenwick island...moved to atlanta in 1999 and now i am in salt lake city...i sure do miss delaware...but it has built up so much that it is hardly the "quiet resort" where i grew up...

You've got that right! It's ALL different now. And, Delaware has become the 'retirement' state. I also was born and raised here (Kent County) and there are very few locals. Not that I expect Delaware to be the same as it was, but "progress" is a double-edge sword. I was looking at the tax rolls the other day for the Fenwick Island, South Bethany area. Homeowners from the State of Delaware are very few, with most from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

I know what you mean. I grew up in Bethany and then moved to Roxana when I was 8. Now I live in Clayton on 2.5 acres. Only go down to the beach to visit my family that still lives there.
